Making Your Reservation

Unless you are staying for the entire season, we do not guarantee a specific site number. On the reservation form you may choose a preferred site from the map and list additional preferences in the comments — but we cannot guarantee a specific site.

👥 Additional People & Vehicles

Site rates are based on 2 people with one piece of camping equipment and one vehicle. Additional people arriving in an additional vehicle with additional equipment must rent an additional site.

Making reservations ahead of time ensures your sites are together. If you arrive on check-in day with extra people/cars/equipment you may be required to rent an additional site not near your original. All site rentals are subject to minimum stay requirements.

Camping in Nature
What to Expect in the Wild

Cape Ann Camp Site is a natural wooded environment — and we love it that way. That means sharing the landscape with the creatures and plants that call it home. Here's what you may encounter during your stay.

🦝

Raccoons

Curious and clever. Secure your food and coolers, and never leave snacks unattended — especially at night.

🦨

Skunks

Generally harmless if left alone. Give them plenty of space and avoid startling them after dark.

🐝

Bees & Wasps

Common throughout the summer months. If you have a known allergy, please bring appropriate medication.

🦌

Local Wildlife

Deer, foxes, and a variety of birds are regular visitors — part of what makes camping here so special.

🌿

A Note About Poison Ivy

Our wooded property borders natural areas where poison ivy grows. We actively work to identify and manage poison ivy throughout the campground, but it is a natural part of the New England landscape and may still be present in some areas. We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes when exploring wooded paths, and teaching children to recognize and avoid it. "Leaves of three, let it be."

🗑️

Put Food & Trash Away Every Night

To keep wildlife out of your site, please ensure all food, coolers, and trash are secured or stored inside your vehicle or camper before going to bed each night. Unsecured food attracts raccoons, skunks, and other animals and can create problems for you and your neighbors.

Good to Know
  • Store food in sealed containers
  • Never feed wildlife
  • Wear closed shoes on trails
  • Bring insect repellent
  • Pack allergy medication if needed
  • Supervise children near wooded edges
